This image was also one of the original inspirations for the ritual theatre then feature film ‘Solve et Coagula’ -where it later became first a composite sculpture (a life-size torso and arms created from 33 interlocking smaller wax figures) then a photographic/filmic composite figure made from actual people…
This is one of the few images in COAGULA (published Fulgur Press 2009) that was unable to be reproduced in all its detailed splendour within that Golden Tome: Due to its scale and the level of detail therein, only a large quality print can really reveal its intricacies while still showing the whole.
