The Ancient Thracian (later Greek) God of Drama, Ecstasy and Intoxication ‘splits open His head’ to reveal fantastic worlds within, the dreaming inherent in (and out of) our minds.
His exploding brain unravels into the Ancient Greek pattern of a Meander, which the Golden thread follows until spiralling into the Golden Mean of the pinecone tip of his Thyrsus staff. The pinecone represents the Third Eye or Pine-al Gland (responsible for trans-physical ‘visions’) which microscopically bears resemblance to its spiralling ‘eye-matrix’ geometries.
